In season 2020-21 (12 months away), Mont Albert CC will make the exciting change to coloured playing shirts for all junior teams. Given that this is a significant change, the club is keen to provide as much advance warning as possible to help families prepare for this transition. That is why we are making this announcement now.
Please note, this change does not apply to trousers. White or cream trousers will still be worn by our junior teams in the foreseeable future.
How we plan to manage this
- In season 2019-20, all junior teams will still be required to wear MACC white playing shirts where possible.
- We have heavily discounted MACC playing shirts available online for this season (50% off). These will be available until sold out. When sold out, we encourage parents to purchase a cheap white shirt from a sports retailer (e.g. Rebel Sport, Maddocks Sports, Sportsmart, Topline Cricket, the Cricket Warehouse or Greg Chappell Cricket Centre).
- The coloured training shirts for 2020-21 will be available to purchase from this coming season. Juniors are invited to wear these shirts to training in 2019-20, or to our senior limited overs matches where our First XI will be wearing the same shirt on match day.
Why we are making this change

- There is a growing trend in cricket towards coloured playing kit.
- There was an opportunity to align our junior uniform with our new senior limited overs apparel this season.
For Junior players who may need a new shirt for this upcoming 2019/20 season please remember that we have heavily discounted our online junior shirts by 50% and that the full transition to our new coloured shirts will not take place until next season 2020/21 in 12 months time.
