We have two junior programs at MACC:
For children aged between 5 and 10 years, the Woolworths Junior Blasters Program offers children with the opportunity to learn cricket skills in a highly supported and semi-competitive environment. Click here for more details.
For children aged between 8 and 16 years of age, who are more familiar with the basic skills of cricket are invited to take part in our standard Junior program. Click here for more details. The club fields teams in the U10, U12, U14 and U16 competitions.
You can determine the appropriate age group by determining how old your child will be on the 1st of September of the same year in which your child is participating. See examples below.
Tom turns 12 on the 20th August 2024. Therefore, he will be 12 years of age on the 1st September 2024. In the 2024-25 season, Tom will be in the U14s.
Ruby turns 14 on the 5th September 2024. Therefore, she will be 13 years of age on the 1st September 2024. In the 2024-25 season, Ruby will be in the U14s.
MACC aims to provide appropriate level coaches at each junior training session. This initiative is anticipated to provide MACC junior players with a great opportunity to develop their skills throughout the season in a one-on-one environment
