Inaugural Summer Super Camp a Huge Hit

  • by

On the 22nd and 23rd of January, Bendigo Bank Junior Academy Manager Andrew Padbury, with the assistance of some highly skilled senior players, ran the first of – hopefully – many Super Summer Camps at Mont Albert CC. And what a success it was.

Coming off the back of a fantastic start to the Junior Academy program, which aims to provide specialist cricket coaching to juniors at MACC and surrounding clubs (if interested), the summer camp was always going to be a hit with juniors and parents alike. 31 junior players, not just from MACC, participated in the camp across the two days. This was a perfect number that allowed for specialised skills development, in addition to larger game based activities.

The club would like to thank all involved in the day, in particular Andrew Padbury and the Bendigo Bank for supporting the Junior Academy program.

Places are still open for the remaining three Junior Academy training sessions for the season. If you are interested in participating, please visit the Junior Academy.

Hopefully, this is the sign of things to come as Mont Albert CC looks to further strengthen the junior development pathways within the club.

Please stay posted for future camps and Junior training events. In particular, we hope to run the Junior Academy Program in 2019-20, and run our second annual summer super camp in January 2020.
