We wanted to take a moment to celebrate the achievements of two of our members who have played milestone games in the past week.

Michael Massey
The Mont Albert Cricket Club would like to congratulate Michael Massey who will this week play his 300th senior game for the club.
Mass commenced at Mont Albert Cricket Club in 1980 and after a hiatus through the 1990s and early 2000s, returned to the club in 2004 through our veterans’ teams, where he has won 2 premierships in 2005/06 and 2008/09.
Throughout his career at Mont Albert Cricket Club, Mass has captained both our 5th XI and 3rd XI. He has served on the committee as Vice President and has also been chairman of selectors.
Known for his aggressive approach and white line fever, Mass has made in excess of 5900 runs at 27.02 with a highest score of 93. He has also taken an incredible 440 wickets at 16.87 and has taken 5 wickets in an innings on 5 occasions with best figures of 6/51. This places him as the 13th highest run scorer and 8th highest wicket taker of all time at MACC.

Mass has won the 2nd XI bowling award on 2 occasions in the 1980s, the 3rd XI bowling award on 4 occasions, as well as the batting average twice. He has won a 5th bowling average and too many veterans awards to count. Last year, he was selected to represent Victoria in the Over 50s National Carnival in WA .
Fittingly, Mass will play his 300th game with his son Jack, who is one of our most promising juniors. This will be Jack’s first senior game for the club.
Congratulations from all at MACC on 300 games.

The Mont Albert Cricket club would like to congratulate Wayne Harris on playing his 200th game for the club. Wayne commenced at Mont Albert Cricket Club in 2007/08 and was soon joined by his 2 sons Michael and Simon.
He has made 2262 runs for the club at an average of 20.2 with a highest score of 85. He has also snared 14 wickets at a tidy average 19.57.
Off the field, Wayne has been a terrific clubman over many years. He has served on the committee, acted as our veteran’s coordinator (where he has been instrumental in getting multiple teams on the park) and warmly welcomed overseas players into his family home. He is first to help out in any capacity needed and is regularly seen running our bar.
Congratulations from all at MACC on 200 games.
